New Zealand born and Australian bred Ben Woodward spent 6 years traveling in the successful band “Alabaster Box” in Australia before moving to the USA in 2003. He then proceeded to spend the next 10 years traveling as a worship leader, speaker, and mentor in venues and conferences across the U.S. mainland and around the world. As a songwriter, Ben has been recorded by artists such as William Matthews (Bethel Music), Jonathan Mills, Justin Rizzo (IHOP-KC) and Alan Powell (Anthem Lights).
His song “Son of a King” was recorded and performed on the Feature Film “The Song”.
In addition to his writing and recording credits, Ben has produced and co-produced projects for The Rock of Roseville and Amy Gottlieb and is a co-producer on many of his own projects. His most recent project, “You Never Let Go-Live at the Rock of Roseville” showcases his production and directorial skill at work.
Beyond his musical accomplishments, however, is a burning passion to help people encounter the truth. Whether through song, through a book or through an engaging message, Ben’s goal has always remained the same – point people to Jesus.
This passion shines through when Ben speaks. He is a dynamic speaker and author and utilizing a combination of expansive theology with down-to-earth practical insight, Ben is able to take the most difficult concepts and make them accessible for any audience. Ben regularly blogs and has been featured in Charisma Magazine, All About Worship and other online publications. His book “You Shall Know The Truth – The Power of Adoration and Proclamation Prayer” has impacted thousands around the world. Teaching seminars on prayer, worship and discipleship, Ben is a sought after communicator, teacher and spiritual coach.
Ben and his wife, Kathryn, currently reside in Kansas City, MO with their three children.
